Sharks Exhibition at the American Museum

A Westbury, New York-area resident, Valerie Varnuska enjoys paleontology. Valerie Varnuska also enjoys visiting museums. One of her favorite museums is the American Museum of Natural History.

The American Museum of Natural History features many exhibitions and programs that can educate people on topics about nature. The museum features an exhibition about sharks, where people can learn many interesting facts about them and their history. For example, sharks can detect and sense electromagnetic fields, unlike humans or other creatures that live in the sea. They can also hear low-frequency sounds.

Sharks are some of the oldest species on earth, even older than dinosaurs. At the exhibition, people can observe life-size models of many sharks ranging from 33 feet to 5.5 inches. This is because many species of sharks have evolved differently, and some are so small that a person can hold them in their hands. The exhibition also features a megalodon (big tooth) shark, which lived approximately 3 million years ago, and is the biggest predator in the history of the sea.
